2nd Krabi-class OPV launched for Royal Thai Navy
Image
The second Krabi-class offshore patrol vessel (OPV) for the Royal Thai Navy (Kong Thap Ruea Thai / กองทัพเรือไทย) was launched today.
...
The vessel, HTMS Prachuap Khiri Khan (pennant number 552) was built locally just like first ship of the class, HTMS Krabi (551) with technology transfer from the United Kingdom. The class is based on the British River-class OPV design in use by the Royal Navy.

Xav, are these new Chinese SS copies of the Kilos they bought from Russia a while back, they do appear to bear some similarity at least?

I wonder what happened to the Spanish built baby sea control carrier they had, would have made a nice little escort to the Canberra class with about 8 F35B and few MH60R if it could be used for the Dave if that is.

Don't let generals play with ships...
- also the reason why the F-35 is 'off the menu' for Spain
- and they signed up for a European prgrm (that is nicely decades away, and can be drip fed with money; look at the defence spend, in total, by Spain)
Ever-lasting truths: Multi-year budgets/ planning by necessity have to address the painful questions; more often than not the Either-Or prevails over Both-And.
If everyone is thinking the same, then someone is not thinking (attributed to Patton)
