Anyway, FSL declared that the RN has solved it's manning issues and now has enough people to man all ships.

I think its a load of guff. Nothing has really changed, but now the problem is fixed . I'll believe it when I see it.

Well, maybe for the moment, with 5 Type 23 in refit and 2 Type 45 ( and other ships planned during next few years ), but as in that StRN article say- what after they return from refit?

Bear in mind this doesn't necessarily mean "right now".

He talks of the "both carriers", so he could very well be meaning their current calculations of recruitment vs less manpower needed per vessel as things like T31 come about and then extrapolating that to their estimate into the 2020s.

We do not have a manpower issue so much as a self-inflicted recruitment issue, and if we were able to respond to applications manpower issues would be resolved.

For the navy, it's issue isn't inflow of people: It's actually getting them in and keeping them

Not quite, people are leaving at rate not seen in a while. Plus it's not numbers but experience we need as well.
