No, that's :) the Albion Class. Albion is the original name of England by the Romans, probably from the Latin albus meaning white, and referring to the chalk cliffs along the south-east coast of England

Option 1 -
Bring back the 2 points and convert the to LSS or convert 2 of the remaining 4.

Personally I like this option, bring back the two Points, chick and cheap conversion to a mini-LPH carrying 4-6 Merlins each, a bit like a WW2 converted merchantman escort carrier. Wouldn't be happy to sacrifice LPD for it though

From Sharkbait-san's post on FSSS. Interesting concept. Look similar to the Camel Laird's HADR ship proposal?

The lack of hanger space seems bizarre.

Its to train the crew of their Military Sealift Command, they don't operate helicopters so didn't bother with a hangar.

We would need a hangar as proved by both the LPD and LSD's

Far beyond the scope of the (seemingly dead) LSS concept however I thought this advert from Huntington Ingalls was rather good, showing the potential derivatives from their LPD Flight II hull.

I like their campaign, but the screen says just 'Image' in your post - without displaying it?

Thanks, but no. Is there a page link, for where the image is drawn from?

Odd. It's just a .PNG. shouldn't have any accessibility issues on mobile or pc... Unless you have some industrial grade ad blocking software?

Does this work? https://s0.2mdn.net/9579656/11052020-08 ... 70X250.png

Finally! An LPD based cruiser. Far better to start with a large voluminous hull than try and turn a frigate into something it was never intended to be.
