Looks like Corbyn will be picking up votes as May and the conservatives can't recover from this without radical policy changes

Re: current scandals
Well, maybe what Britain needs is Corbyn as PM, to be shaken up from this current state- for better or worse... Frankly, I really don't see anything Conservative in Conservative Party, so why don't just vote for true leftists?
Fortune favors brave sir, said Carrot cheerfully.
What's her position about heavily armed, well prepared and overmanned armies?
Oh, noone's ever heard of Fortune favoring them, sir.
According to General Tacticus, it's because they favor themselves…

Re: current scandals
My problem is that I see any difference between any of the current crop of MP's (no matter what party), they're all lower than a snakes belly.
Re: current scandals
They are carrier political members whom were some other politicians assistant with very few having any experience outside the Westminster bubble. With leaders promoting crones or party appeasement ministers. Rather than Who would be best for the country. The best thing they could do is cut the number of members of the Commons And decimate the house of unelected cronies that is the house of Lords. Then they would have to work for us., And make it a criminal offence for them to hold other paying employment.Little J wrote:My problem is that I see any difference between any of the current crop of MP's (no matter what party), they're all lower than a snakes belly.

Corbyn will portray himself as the anti establishment figure yet look at his biography

Re: current scandals
I think we need to have Corbyn elected just to see how he and his Red Guards actually deal with enacting all the things he repeatedly promises and a certain generation seem to believe he can. IF he does then I will become a convert and start carrying a little red book.

Re: current scandals
The thread was started with off-shoring... what's new: The Times investigation of UK billionaires rushing off to tax havens fills pretty much the front page of yesterday's edition (and takes up half of the text on the following page, too).
However, rather than biz as usual, this one
"Facebook said about 175,000 people followed at least one of the fake pages, which included 35 profiles on Instagram.
The company said the pages "engaged in hate speech and spread divisive comments on both sides of the political debate in the UK".
"They frequently posted about local and political news including topics like immigration, free speech, racism, LGBT issues, far-right politics, issues between India and Pakistan, and religious beliefs including Islam and Christianity."
is in-country, and perhaps for a change it can be unearthed what kind of individuals have made it their business to attack the social cohesion here.
- even more interesting if someone pays "for their time"
The Gvmnt is doing their bit too , though. Head teachers are not militants, but more than 7,000 of them have written a joint letter to 3.5 million families, warning of worsening budget shortages.
-They are furious that the education secretary Damian Hinds and schools minister Nick Gibb "snubbed" them by refusing to meet.

Ever-lasting truths: Multi-year budgets/ planning by necessity have to address the painful questions; more often than not the Either-Or prevails over Both-And.

Should Assange be headed for Sweden, Wikileaks has good facilities there

In terms of domestic politics, it'd be better for the British government to extradite him to Sweden in order to face the sexual assault charges there. Though I suspect that will only happen if the Swedes agree to either further extradite him to the US when they're done with him or at least offer fully cooperate with the US intelligence services in the event that they're detaining him for an extended period.ArmChairCivvy wrote:Should Assange be headed for Sweden, Wikileaks has good facilities there
