Will standards be lowered? Or just lower standards for women?

Up front he standards will remain the same. However these have been slowly dropping across the military any how in order to increase recruitment regardless of gender.

Does anyone know what the current organisational structure of the RAF Regiment is?

I'm assuming that it retains its role as essentially a standard light/ wheeled infantry security and guarding force for deployed RAF units, rather than anything resembling the Royal Marines or Parachute Regiment.

Primarily light role Force Protection / field Squadrons (after SHORAD was transferred to the army during the 90's) but still retains one squadron as a parachute capable unit to allow for airfield attack if required (II Sqn) and one squadron for ceremonial duties (QCS / 63 Sqn).
Many RAF basic recruit instructors are Regiment as well.
There are also CBRN specialist Regiment staff deployed to many units for CBRN training and recce.
Of note is that members of II Sqn are attached to the SFSG alongside Para Reg & RM troops (based at MOD St Athan, Wales).

It is easy to forget these small, but irreplaceable units. Another one (nothing to do with RAF Rgmnt) is 17 Port and Maritime Regiment, 3-4 times larger, should a port suddenly need to be prepared or repaired.
Ever-lasting truths: Multi-year budgets/ planning by necessity have to address the painful questions; more often than not the Either-Or prevails over Both-And.
If everyone is thinking the same, then someone is not thinking (attributed to Patton)
