Haven't watched much of the Olympics but turned the telly on this morning and the 49ers had just set off. Glued to the screen as they won by a coat of varnish.
Also watched that Norwegian chap smash his own 400 metre hurdles world record. Anyone else remember Ed Moses strolling along miles ahead of the rest of the field. He wouldn't have been in the same postcode when 1st and 2nd crossed the line this time.

Tokyo Olympics - Day 16 (Final Day)
Team GB finished 4th by total of gold medals. Team GB also finished 4th by overall total of medals.
Team GB also finished 1st by total number of medals won over 23 individual sports, the widest range by any participating nation or team.
4th in the medal table is pretty good going all things considered (especially with the unusually disappointing medals return from the rowing). Japan did very well with their medal haul, and 3rd spot (congratulations, Donald)

The FA have confirmed that replays have returned for the 2021-22 FA Cup this season.
Some of the bigger clubs might moan about it interfering in league and European competitions, but these FA Cup replays are vital for smaller clubs so it's the correct decision. Afterall, the whole point of the founding of the FA Challenge Cup (which is its full name) is a way to share the gate revenue money from bigger wealthier clubs to the smaller less well-off clubs.
