100th Birthday telegrams/cards from the Queen are only sent by Her Majesty to those who pre-request them as they are not automatically sent out to centenarians.

You can request one for 100th Birthday, 105th Birthday and for each birthday after the age of 105 years.

Messages for wedding anniversaries over 60 years may also be requested.

RIP Prince Phillip.
Fortune favors brave sir, said Carrot cheerfully.
What's her position about heavily armed, well prepared and overmanned armies?
Oh, noone's ever heard of Fortune favoring them, sir.
According to General Tacticus, it's because they favor themselves…

If the government are looking to provide a legacy for the Duke of Edinburgh beyond kind words then I think that expanding the eponymous award scheme by providing incentives to schools to encourage participation would be a splendid idea.

Prince Philip's funeral date has been announced as Saturday 17th April 2021.

The funeral will not be a grand or formal State Funeral event with military processions due to Prince Philip's personal wishes to have as little "fuss" as possible and also because of COVID lockdown rules. The funeral will be held at St. George's Chapel within Windsor Castle and be limited to thirty invited family members. PM Boris Johnson will therefore not attend the funeral to allow as many of the Duke's family members to attend.

Prince Philip has also allegedly been influencial in the design and adaptation of a Range Rover which will be used as a hearse to carry the Duke's coffin.

Prince Charles, as Philips's oldest heir, has inherited his father's titles of Duke of Edinburgh, Earl of Merioneth and Baron Greenwich.

The title Duke Of Edinburgh will be passed to Prince Edward (Earl of Wessex) when Charles becomes King, as Prince Andrew is already Duke of York.

(Imperial War Museums) 18th May 2022
In April 1944, young Queen Elizabeth – then Princess Elizabeth – turned 18. Her teenage years had been against the backdrop of the Second World War. Elizabeth was determined to ‘do her bit’ for the war effort, as so many of her peers were. Within a year of turning 18, Elizabeth would sign up for the Auxiliary Territorial Service. It was an unprecedented decision – this would make her the first woman in the Royal Family to become a full-time member of the armed services.
