Makes you appreciate being British.

Nothing to worry about.
Yeah. I'd rather that Argentina had such agreements with countries that are prepared to share information with the UK than countries that aren't.

I'd be rejoicing at the thought, France has a reputation for not supplying spares when it does not suit there needs. Happened to Australia with the Mirage jets has happened to a number of nations

Argentina negotiating to buy second-hand US LSD
Argentina has initiated informal talks with the US government during a Washington visit for the procurement of a retired landing ship dock (LSD), Angel Tello, the Argentine Ministry of Defence's secretary for strategy and military affairs, announced on 23 May.

The negotiations are part of a newly re-established bilateral relationship between the two countries, which had reached an impasse during Cristina Fernández de Kirchner's presidency.

During the visit, the US government offered logistics support to Argentina for UN-sponsored deployments, continued negotiations for transferring at least two Lockheed Martin C-130 Hercules aircraft, and deepened co-operation for Antarctic matters.

COMMENT
An LSD deal with the United States is likely a long shot, as Argentina has hoped to acquire a landing ship for more than 10 years but sales have always been derailed.
