Why have we inadvertently built the US two new carriers?!

Are you by any chance a mind reader? That was exactly what I thought on first seeing the “both” post.

The F35Bs would need to be “Under New Management” for that to come about.

Spoke to nipper the other evening, they anchored off Lyme Bay for a day of BBQ and celebrations for the Platinum Jubilee Sunday, then the plan is to head down south to 'warmer' climes. Not sure when he is due to fly off to come home for HMG training at Collingwood, but will be good to see him, if only for a couple of weeks.
On a personal note, I had an incident at Pompey Historic Dockyard 4 weeks ago today. I was on the veteran Falklands landing craft F8 as a deckhand doing harbour tours. Long story short...on the way in a mooring line took the tip of my left thumb pretty much off, the Odstock hospital in Salisbury tried to save it, to no avail, so a week later it was amputated.
All in all doing well though, I ended up in a ward with a guy who was paralysed from the chest down so put my injury into perspective somewhat.

I do hope that it was not your “drinking hand” and making you effectively “nil by mouth”.

Local photographer I guess. I always play twitter bingo when I see these, we've had the 'no aircraft' comment already, waiting for the 'should be in the English Channel stopping illegal boats' one.
...and another...

Re: Queen Elizabeth Class Aircraft Carriers - News and Discussion
Anyone know if anything is missing from this list?
Aircraft that have landed on QE Class...
F-35B
Merlin HM.2
Wildcat HMA.2
Merlin HC.4
Wildcat AH.1
Chinook HC.4
Puma HC.2 (whilst she was docked)
S.92 - Bristow chartered HMCG
MV-22B
UH-1Y
SH-53E
MH-53E
MH-60R/S
Dauphin 2 - FOST
Apache AH.1
UH-60P (South Korean)
Don't think CMV-22 has been onboard, but has USAF CV-22B? Same with AH-1Z? Any others?
Can't remember seeing an NH-90 onboard yet which I was surprised about. No Lynx either.
Any Griffin off Cyprus? H135 or H145?

Re: Queen Elizabeth Class Aircraft Carriers - News and Discussion
Nipper finishes his course next week, prefers HMG to the GPMG it is replacing due to less barrel clearances.
Told to put in for leave as ship due back soon so not worth flying them out, sad as I guess it would have been from Odiham and possibly in a Chinook.

Re: Queen Elizabeth Class Aircraft Carriers - News and Discussion
That would be annoying, how much leave was he directed to take, nothing worce than in taking a unplanned holiday at short notice,
I imagine it will be taken out of BRL at Xmas
Re: Queen Elizabeth Class Aircraft Carriers - News and Discussion
He's been asked to take a weeks leave.

I'm guessing from the 3rd pic on this tweet that a Spanish Sea King landed on PWLS?
