The pilot has at this point survived (albeit in critical condition).
How you survive something like that blows my mind.

The pilot is now in a medically-induced coma:

I hope he manages to pull through it. How he survived, I have no idea.
Also, this has to be one of the most videoed air crashes in history. There's so many different videos circulating the web right now, I've seen nothing like it before.

And in the inevitable turn of utter nonsense, flying displays have now been barraged with a ton of rulings that basically restrict planes to a flypast only.
But something must be done!!1111!!1

Shoreham Pilot To Be Questioned By Police
Read More: http://news.sky.com/story/1549996/shore ... -by-policeAndy Hill's health is improving and officers say they are soon hoping to speak to him about why his plane crashed into the A27.
The pilot in the Shoreham Airshow crash has reportedly been discharged from hospital and is to be questioned "as soon as possible".
Andy Hill was left in a critical condition after his 1950s Hawker Hunter plane crashed in West Sussex, killing 11 people.
A Sussex Police spokesman said Mr Hill's condition was "improving".
"Police and investigators from the Air Accidents Investigation Branch (AAIB), who are conducting parallel investigations, are looking to interview the pilot as soon as possible," said the spokesman.
"We are not permitted to disclose his location as this is a private matter for which we do not have the family's permission."

Case appears to be conducted quite strangely by the investigators.

Full article at http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article ... crash.htmlThe pilot of the Shoreham air crash in which 11 people died has been pictured for the first time since he left hospital three weeks ago - but police are yet to speak to him.
Andy Hill, a former British Airways pilot, was left in a critical condition following the deadly August 22 crash and was put into an induced coma.
Wearing denim and clutching a water bottle, the 51-year-old has now been photographed for the first time since his release and his return to his Hertfordshire home.
But despite police claiming they were planning to speak with him, they have yet to do so because his 'fitness for interview has not been confirmed'.
