THE Government is to double its investment in the Defence Forces in a first serious step to militarily protect our neutrality.
Taoiseach Micheal Martin believes Ireland should remain neutral but have the capacity to defend our shores similar to other neutral nations like Finland and Switzerland.

The Irish Air Corps (IAC) are close to signing a contract with Austrian company Airborne Technologies (ABT) for three Self Contained Aerial Reconnaissance (SCAR) Pod systems
