Lets face it, new/novel/innovative features probably aren't going to make it into a press release

Mast made in Norway by Umoe Mandal. And no, it definitely doesn't look like a Dalek.

The three Type 26 frigates currently under construction have been issued with pennant numbers.

1. HMS Glasgow (F88) - F88 was previously used by T22 HMS Broadsword between 1979-1995 (sold to Brazil as Greenhalgh, decommissioned 10th August 2021)
The previous HMS Glasgow, a T42 destroyer, used the D88 pennant.

2. HMS Cardiff (F89) - F89 was previously used by T22 HMS Battleaxe between 1980-1996 (sold to Brazil as Rademaker)
3. HMS Belfast (F90) - F90 was previously used by T22 HMS Brilliant between 1981-1996 (sold to Brazil as Dodsworth, scrapped 2012)

The youngest of the T23 (HMS St Albans) was issued with F83.

Umoe Mandal's (Norwegian mast maker) website says the T26 mast is a composite material.

Thanks to SKB, new info to me.

Umoe Mandel all-composite material structures "composite sandwich materials in a variety of Fibre-reinforced polymer composites (FRP), such as resins (polyesters, vinyl ester, epoxy, phenolic), fibers (glass, aramid, carbon), roving (uni- and multi-axial fabrics, woven roving, etc.) with core materials of PVC and PMI foam, balsa and honeycombs."

Full details
From <https://www.um.no/technology-engineerin ... materials/>

PS Would note USN first two Zumwalts 15/16,000t destroyers used a composite 1,000t deck house with balsa core material to reduce top weight presumably due to its tumblehome hull design and stability concerns, due to costs they deleted its SPY-4 VSR with its flat panel arrays which reduced weight in deck house and on third ship used a steel deck house as less expensive.

This is what c.e.c is about it provides information from dispersed sensors that can be collated carrier for instance the carrier escorts that are situated further from the carrier could provide real-time information in coordinating responses and engage against attacks further from the carrier.

It's worth noting other navies to use this capability multiplier

I know what the CEC is.
But I read somewhere that the RN supposedly thinks that CEC isn't really useful in real combat, with lots ECM.

That doesn't look like a UK spec T-26. Why are BAe Systems and Babcock embarrassed to show the planned RN configuration vessels in addition to "What ifs", to entice exports?

?? The T26 model in the photo of the tweet looks exactly the RN spec T26, for me? The Arrowhead 140 model from Babcock looks like those proposed fro Greek, as well (and may be also to Indonesia?).

RN config is largely fixed and potential customers can read up on it at their leisure, whereas it's in BAEs interest to actively promote the different options available in the design.

What? It’s exactly the UK spec… 3x8 MK-41 silos and 4x6 Sea Ceptor upfront…

Sorry should have looked closer. The placement of the various launch systems seems to have changed over the years, didn't there used to be 2x 12 Sea Ceptor port and starboard with the three Mk41 in the middle? Still think we should have five Mk41s up fronts and two more amidships instead of the "Mushrooms", or stand alone ExLS to increase the number of Sea Ceptors carried, but we are already paying a lot for the design as is, so wishful thinking. Shame we are not willing to adapt the Batch 2 T-26s to a more common configuration with the RAN for example.
