Warthog All Terrain Tracked Carrier (ATTC) (British Army)
Re: Warthog All Terrain Tracked Carrier (ATTC) (British Army)
That's ridiculous. Someone in the MoD & top brass needs to answer for this
Re: Warthog All Terrain Tracked Carrier (ATTC) (British Army)
Those will be the 17 destroyed by IEDs. The other 85 should still be up for sale given the timeframe.
Re: Warthog All Terrain Tracked Carrier (ATTC) (British Army)
And they couldn't be sold/gifted to a friendly nation?
Now that is a waste

Re: Warthog All Terrain Tracked Carrier (ATTC) (British Army)
Why sell them. Surely they'd make a good mortar carrier, vehicle to carry the Exactor system. Wouldn't there be a role for them replacing some of the FV432 variants.
Seems like typical MoD waste.

Depends on how worn out they are and how much specialist training and spares are required to run them.
Re: Warthog All Terrain Tracked Carrier (ATTC) (British Army)
From some accounts the Warthog is a piece of crap. They want to dump them just like they want to dump the Panther vehicles. Last thing we want is multiple fleets doing the same job. Warthog is no longer needed and is a drain on resources.
