Even land rovers break in Belize we did long moves by 4 tonner as the land rovers were constantly breaking.

yeap having had to drag a LR driver out of the cab and stick them in a pajero because they had heat stroke yes they are great utility vehicles but have their limitations......certainly ask the light air defence detachments how suitable they were for all the javelin kit and crew kit thats before you try and fit the detachment inside.
For laison and rear areas the hilux might be the ideal platform it isn't as flexible as a utility vehicle like landrover. but then look at all those who's allocated vehicle was a 90 they didn't exactly have allot of room once all their kit was put in.

looks like a hybred between Range Rover & landrover. But if it meets EU construction regs it'll mean its more crash survivable (been in one or 2 Landrover crashes) and yes there is allot of room for improvement.
Just wonder if we buy it will landrover still mark up the spares by 66%

Where i live in the pirbright/deepcut area they drive around alot in the toyota pickups, i suppose that's just for security patrols maybe

the irish army have used Nissan patols for years and I spent most of my travelling time on tellic I & II in Pajeros so its do able.
Doesn't the Mercedes Gwagon fail the same EU rules as the defender or is it the usual EU law only appliies in the United Kingdom and the rest of Europe ignores it?
