Now we can put the parts together again (of the super gun) as replacement barrels can be produced
... a very economical way to launch low-orbit satellites as the 2,000 kg projectile would place a net payload of about 200 kg into orbit at a cost of $ 600 per kg.

See, you have all been had :D by the 'cover' story

PS I am only testing for A. anyone as 'sensitive' as Ron, and

In an industrial corner of Sheffield, England, a British steelmaker is rewriting the rules of nuclear energy production. Sheffield Forgemasters, a storied engineering company, has developed an innovative manufacturing technique using electron beam welding to produce core parts of small modular reactors (SMRs) more quickly and cost-effectively. This breakthrough reduces the process time from 150 days to just two hours.

Imagine if we actually invested in these so we could be an nation with energy dependency, free from the whims of the world, a reliable grid, and actually on are way to net zero.
