War is like a contagious disease. Azerbaijan has launched a completely unprovoked attack on Armenia and spent the last 48 hours wrecking what little was left of Armenia's military following the conflict a couple of years ago. They have now crossed the border (of Armenia proper; not the disputed territory) and are advancing on multiple axes. I think their goal is to seize the SE 'tip' of Armenia (which is clearly part of Armenia, is populated by Armenians and is not claimed by Baku) so as to link up with their enclave to the South of Armenia.

This is an enormous consistency problem - it's no different to Russia seeking a land bridge to Crimea using Ukraine's Black Sea coast but Azerbaijan is no doubt being backed by a NATO member here. A NATO member that could seriously complicate Russia / Ukraine policy if we do call a spade a spade.
