Can we have a thread to comment current conflicts around the world?

Post by abc123 »

As it says on the tin.. Yes I know this is UK-focused forum, but maybe it would be interesting.
Fortune favors brave sir, said Carrot cheerfully.
What's her position about heavily armed, well prepared and overmanned armies?
Oh, noone's ever heard of Fortune favoring them, sir.
According to General Tacticus, it's because they favor themselves…

LOL, OK, maybe, but I wanted to have an official thread. Not one created by me.

A good idea, I think, as Shader possibly can't receive all the stuff that is brewing in that part of the world (and is Shader even running, as a deployment?)
- if the PM has to get back from Mustique, surely there is a UK interest/ exposure that deserves to be discussed
- and a catch-all is not a bad idea as "these things" pop up unexpedtedly, often in unlikely places
Ever-lasting truths: Multi-year budgets/ planning by necessity have to address the painful questions; more often than not the Either-Or prevails over Both-And.
If everyone is thinking the same, then someone is not thinking (attributed to Patton)
