Italian government approved program for procurement of 132 Leopard 2A8 tanks and 140 other vehicles based on Leopard 2 chassis. Total value of program is some 8.246 billion euros

Italian Parliament has authorised two new FREMM Evo frigates which understand will take their fleet to 12 and replace the 2 sold to Egypt.
The two FREMM Evo costing €2 billion (~£1.7Bn, £850M each), with upgrades to their CMS, radar and EW well as to the sonar, gun, comms and missile systems.
The Italian FREMM design is evolving from the previous two frigates, subject of the Naval News write up below, to the new platform standard FREMM Evo (Evolved). A future next generation frigate called FREMM 2.0 is also in the pipeline.
The write up on FREMM notes cut steel to delivery is 4 years and 4 months whilst Navylookout estimates T26B2 ships to be 6 to 7 years in build
