Rather striking, fairly odd ( in a good way) Not as good as the camo on Spey & Tamar but very cool.

Have to say I'm not found of the green, some black and a darker grey would look better, and they have rather neglected the superstructure. I do like the idea of it though.

Getting close to departure…

Shame RFA Wave Ruler isn’t going also to help bulk up the humanitarian response and other options…

Isn't she in refit at the moment? Maybe when she comes out

She, as a design, would be a very good platform to reinforce a LSG, increasing its vertical lift/assault capabilities when needed instead of going down the full LHA/LHD route.

Reminds me of one of more pleasant walks to work that I had in my commuting days, off the train at London Bridge, through Hay's Galleria (formerly Hay's Dock), then along past HMS Belfast (often with something interesting moored alongside - usually a foreign vessel, but I did once see RV Triton alongside), over Tower Bridge, and through the St Catherine Docks to the office.

Edit: RV Triton, not HMS......

(Forces News) 31st August 2021
Offshore Patrol Vessel HMS Severn has been officially recommissioned into the Royal Navy. She was decommissioned in 2017 but was seen as too valuable an asset to let go. The official recommissioning ceremony took place in London over the bank holiday weekend.

Nice photo, from ""

Interesting is the fix-point for ISO containers on her quarter deck. Looks like,
- 3 raws of that for 40ft ISO containers
- with additional mid-point fix-point to change 1 or 2 40ft ones to 2 or 3 20fit ISO containers

This reminds me of the "class room container" for sea cadet, which was a single 40ft long one, not two 20ft ones.

Wasn't something similar fitted to HMS Bristol for its DTS role?

There was a great article on batch 1 and 2 at the top of this thread when I logged on this morning which now seems to have vanished.

This will be part of the work up and testing for the current UOR from the navy for there patrol ships

it looks like a I-master radar fitted to the S-100 would be great for the B2's

Putting a couple of LMMs on one would also be nice, especially if any French Fishermen get feisty! :D
