Fortune favors brave sir, said Carrot cheerfully.
What's her position about heavily armed, well prepared and overmanned armies?
Oh, noone's ever heard of Fortune favoring them, sir.
According to General Tacticus, it's because they favor themselves…

I suspect RR are nailed on for propulsion as the South Korean's already use MT-30, and the Trieste is MT-30 powered.Ron5 wrote:Hard to believe given @ACC's repeated insistence that it's Babcock's providing the help to DSME.
Just teasing.

Re: Queen Elizabeth Class Aircraft Carriers - News and Discussion
Nice to see PoW make a G7 appearance today. My favourite part of the World. Stunning.

Now that it is on the official Twitter feed I can confirm that nipper is manning the mini gun in this video. He liked it, very much.
As he has moved from boat party to gunners party, live firing is part of his domain, no more cleaning pigeon shite from his boat bay.

Odd question which got an odd answer:
https://questions-statements.parliament ... 6-08/12078
Kevan Jones asking about what I presume is the fitting of a VLS silo to the QEC.
The reply from Quinn seems to instead downplay the effectiveness of VTOL operations of fixed wing aircraft.

Methinks Quinn was taking the mickey for a poorly phrased question

Is poorly worded, I've re-read it 3 times and I'm still no sure whether he was asking about missiles or aircraft

Re: Queen Elizabeth Class Aircraft Carriers - News and Discussion
I would have thought VLS (i.e. missile launching systems) would have been implied by the term 'launch' instead of 'takeoff', but it could have been a bit clearer.Enigmatically wrote:Is poorly worded, I've re-read it 3 times and I'm still no sure whether he was asking about missiles or aircraft

Politicians should know the basic rules of comms. One of those is always speak in a way that a five year old will understand. Like 'totally ******* hopeless'.Enigmatically wrote:Is poorly worded, I've re-read it 3 times and I'm still no sure whether he was asking about missiles or aircraft
If you are allowed to have two parts to a question perhaps:
Will you fit a missile defence system to... and if not why?
Great to see that no matter how useless MOD is at procurement they can still shoot down dodgy questions.
