It could be fun just running a series of posts on the different bases around the world that you could be despatched to , and the challenges they would face .

Russia Reveals Giant Nuclear Torpedo in State TV 'Leak'
The Kremlin says secret plans for a Russian long-range nuclear torpedo - called "Status-6" - should not have appeared on Russian TV news.

The leak happened during a report on state-run Channel One about President Vladimir Putin meeting military chiefs in the city of Sochi.

One general was seen studying a diagram of the "devastating" torpedo system.

Launched by a submarine, it would create "wide areas of radioactive contamination", the document says.

Some footage of Russian forces attacking Da'esh, supposedly.
Very interesting and sort of retro to be bombing via prop driven. Blackjack is rather "beastly". I'm sure a good training opportunity for them as well.

I'm just not convinced tbh , I just get the feeling that most of the reported Russian effort in Syria is bs propaganda and pr , and It's operation effectiveness is very much being over exaggerated .

I've seen a few videos Which have been released supposedly showing Russian missions over Syria , most look like a 12 year old as put them together in his bedroom from older video stock found online .

I would imagine the CSAR mission will consist of an air assault bn and plenty of attack helos?
- the 10 that were downed in the helicopter would probably have been the crew and a winchman, medics and some riflemen to protect them (just guessing; but an uptick in what is going to be sent the next time around is an informed guess)

He also denies being in Turkish airspace.
So? The Kremlin swore blind at the time that the little green men were not Russian troops. Denying the blatantly obvious is a key feature of Putin's "ambiguous warfare" rulebook.

Yet the jet was in their airspace for 17 seconds..?
So presumably they gave the warnings when the aircraft was not yet in their airspace but looked like it was going to be. I haven't read the transcripts.
