Exactly, all we have had so far is hot air and spin.

The decisions to build the T26's and T31's were made long before the PM or DS were in post.

Its time HMG transitioned from sound bites and bluster and started filling order books....

Since all thing are now measured in badgers, BAe has hired several thousand to do the work. TB might be an issue but fortunately they don't know how to glue on bolt heads.

I am not aware if this has been posted before being slightly dated but it does concern the acoustic stealth management of this ship
https://www.defesanet.com.br/en/navy/no ... sets-sail/
Although hull monitoring is not something new as per this article

Good article on the Canadian T26 variant in the USNI Proceedings.

https://www.usni.org/magazines/proceedi ... -combatant

Also details on the armament for Canada's T26...
- 5 inch gun
- SM2 for area defence
- ESSM for point defence
- Sea Ceptor as CIWS
- NSM AShM
- Mk.54 Torpedo's launched from tubes
- Tomahawk launched from Mk.41
- 2 x 30mm DS30
- CH-148 Cyclone

Thats pretty impressive....

Looks badly formatted. Seems they have listed the weapons the Mk41 can have, rather than what is actually fitted. It makes little sense to have ESSM and Sea Ceptor?

It's correct. Canada is heavily involved in ESSM (Block 1 and 2). Sea Ceptor is going to be their CIWS. Sea Ceptor sits between RIM-116 and ESSM in terms of performance. No mention of RIM-116 anymore. Tomahawk is the new one, but the RCN has released that on the graphic. No mention of ASROC.

The Canadian variant will likely be the last Type 26 variant to hit the water in around 2040 so there's still time to wonder if they really choose Tomahawk. Then, again it puts more pressure on the Royal Navy and DE&S to announce what the City-Class will hold in their Mk41 VLS.

I wonder how much they will cost. Beaucoup de moulah I would guess. Significantly more than the UK's, AEGIS is not cheap!

Also noticed the CSC is slightly longer than the other variants (151.4 m vs. 149.9). Thought to be at the stern in order to accommodate a Canadian designed VDS, but that has not been positively confirmed.

Is this the first mention of Canada going for Sea Ceptor? (don't know how I missed that)

And its the quad cell ExLS that goes into the MK41, so any 3 Cell launcher is going to be a separate launcher from the 41. Quite the armament the Canadians are putting the Frigate.

I seem to remember from past models & CGI, the ExLs will be aft of the funnel where the UK's type 26 have more mushrooms.

Correct. Just aft of the funnel, I tried to attach a photo but apparently the board attachment quota has been reached. You can see it here however (at 0:48 in the video):

There are six ExLS cells (2 x 3), so 24 SeaCeptors, in addition to the 32 Mk 41s.

No it was mentioned some time ago, and it was a surprise then, as Ron5 say's its seperate cells in the mid ships specifically for Sea Ceptor.
Whats not clear at present is what the Canadian's are planning to do with the 15+ Phalanx that they have mounted on their Halifax Class.

If you look at the stern of the model it has a ledge similar to the one on QE. Is this the extra bit of length quoted in the specs.
