Re: Sports News

This is why I don't bother with twitface. Who the hell is Barry Stanton? Go here for the actual squad: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/44138600 Welbeck lucky to be in it. Though not as lucky as Jos Buttler in the Test squad. Picked as a specialist batsman to bat at 7. Bairstow will bat - and ke...

Re: Star Wars - News and Discussion

Finally got around to watching The Last Jedi on blueray. It's basically a remake of Empire Strikes Back. Whole scenes practically lifted from the original. What can we expect from the 3rd film - bloody Ewoks? 5.5/10. Must try harder. Hopefully now that most of the original cast are gone from the sto...

"Improvement Project." So not repairs then. Anyone else noticed how industrial sites are now called employment parks. Everything is spin nowadays.

Re: Sports News

Should be a red card flanked by two yellow; or 10 players in white as after half an hour, that's how many Leeds usually have left on the pitch.

RIP Jimmy Armfield btw. Robbed in Paris in 1975.

Re: Star Wars - News and Discussion

I was actually rather disappointed with Rogue One. This was an opportunity to shoot Guns of Navarone in space but was ruined by all the totally unnecessary "force" nonsense and the American obsession with family. Everyone has to be related in US tv/film dramas. Makes the plotlines visible ...

Pesky facts getting in the way of a good story:

That Navantia frigate may have a lot of kit but where's the mission bay - does Canada want one? And what is its endurance? Canada does face the Pacific as well let's not forget.
