Re: Queen Elizabeth Class Aircraft Carriers - News and Discussion
Think more chance of qe doing a Indian port visit or a few Indian destroyer/frigate sailing with qe when deployed in that area next year as in closer defence opportunity/talk's than India actually buying anything from UK plc ,but that's still ok and a good to work with the Indians even if just that

Re: Future UK Combat Aircraft (Project Tempest)
Must admit it doesn't look 6th gen ,more like 5th gen to my untrained eyes , think there will be a lot more snazzy astheticaly looking designs out there to follow around the world ,time will tell and yes I know 6th might be all the engine tech /electronic package etc inside and it's capabilities, bu...

Re: Type 31 & Type 32 General Purpose Frigate [News Only]
I think t32 could be up gunned t31 ,but just for shits and giggles and thinking outside the box ,with Germany building 160mtr frigates and Italy building 170 MTR frigates and everybody else starting to go bigger ,I'm wondering would they build an almost cruiser size class to support the carriers lik...

Re: Future UK Combat Aircraft (Project Tempest)
Thought Japan had totally dismissed joint development of fighter with UK and decided it's interests better trying up with USA for help with fighter?, which I wasn't surprised with choice being USA heavily invested in Japan and USA would put too much pressure to bare on Japan to let it go with anybod...

Re: Brexit - The UK's EU Referendum & Withdrawal
Ok dmereifield I hear what you say fella ,but what's in it for the UK ?,you've stated that we've agree level playing of sorts and joint dispute arbitration and letting French/eu still fish in uk waters ,but what's the EU let us have ? All that you stated is what we given away to the EU . basically w...

Sounds like it could be fairly competitive to what other countries are going to undoubtedly produce in future ie Chinese ,russian, Japan and Europe if it does go ahead , still won't compete in guessing with future USA offering but it doesn't have to tbh

There is an alternative but we both know where we stand each end of that argument ,so no need to go thru it again ,but I will agree he will cave in and give EU everything it's hearts desired ,ie keeping UK locked in and fishing and letting the whole point of UK Brexit slip thru his fingers

Re: Brexit - The UK's EU Referendum & Withdrawal
Hey guys bottom line is don't have faith in Boris ,going by his past performance on lots of things and his personality he will carry on talking to EU and then ultimately cave in to the EU line ,1) because pressure about messing up covid and he won't want to be seen as messing up deal ,even tho cavei...
