Re: Queen Elizabeth Class Aircraft Carriers - News and Discussion
Well, looks like it is scrubbed again. No longer on KHM and diving going on around her tomorrow. It is still a tad windy down here, wonder if that impacted her going out with one engine only?

Re: Queen Elizabeth Class Aircraft Carriers - News and Discussion
He also told me they have removed the starboard prop blades and will go up to Rosyth under Port engine power only, closely followed by a tug should it be required. They will also add a special ingredient to the fuel to produce a shite load of smoke to compete with the Russian Aircraft Carriers when ...

Re: Queen Elizabeth Class Aircraft Carriers - News and Discussion
Wouldn't be surprised if my nipper asks for a transfer to QNLZ, he really doesn't want to go back to Rosyth and agreed to an extension on PWLS knowing the America trip was happening...but shite happens! I very much doubt he will get it approved.

Re: Queen Elizabeth Class Aircraft Carriers - News and Discussion
FFS. The RN are having far too many moments like this in recent years. I'm pretty sure QNLZ had issues with her prop shaft seal not long after leaving Rosyth, that was fixed in Pompey. No idea if this is the same issue though, thought that was resolved on PWLS during final build, but could be wrong.

I've seen them do that before when both QE class are in port. Also, from where I am at the hot walls on the beach, I can see HMS Dauntless on the horizon waiting to enter.

Hmm, just heard from nipper that the departure may have been delayed...which as we are currently sat by the hot walls waiting for her to leave, rather annoying.

Was round nippers new married quarters last night (he's not married but in a long term relationship with his girlfriend) , despite all the horror stories about service homes, they've lucked out. 2 bed flat, all redecorated before they moved in, nice sized rooms. Anyhow, he will only have about a cou...
