And they'd have been the most vocal about it meaning the closure of the other yard as well!
Damned English, they closed our yard!

So in a article on the Save the RN site for the F-35 they say that the USMC are planning to eventually have one squadron permanently designated to deploy on UK carriers So at least the QE Class will always have some F-35B's aboard then, because we'd be struggling on our own between crap politicians...

You do not want to risk using your SSBN's as attack subs though, and with more of them around their signature will be easier for potential enemies to identify. If you sit one off Russia or China's coast, will they honestly believe you that its not an ICBM armed one? Why would they take the risk. If ...

I'm sorry, but is it only me who hates the forward opening hangar?
Sailing along at 15+ knots, open hanger to get helo out and wind blows everything to hell?
Surely a forward superstructure with rearward hangar and flight deck would be much more practical?

But I'd take 2.5-3% as a damn good effort!

Or could the $800m mean the Hull, and government furnished equipment like radars and weapons systems be an additional $400m per ship?
Because I think a Type 26 should be easily mass produced for $1.2b USD each.
