Awsome concepts - very Thunderbird ish !!! 8-) Would love to see something like this in the UK military - but if HMG wouldn't fork out for ( expensive compared to helicopters ) the V22 cant really see any being bought even though the idea of a faster V22 delivering troops to the beach head ( amongst...

REF up arming T31 - For my two cents worth As Donald says up arm the first 3 or may be 4 if possible, 24 sea ceptor and basic sonar, the last 1 or 2, delete CAMM for now But when the T32 budget is availiable divert some funds to the CAMM - less T31 or sell them of when the T32 come on stream if they...

Re: Current & Future Escorts - General Discussion
I actually Don't mind the idea of the T31, a cheaper flag waving patrol frigate for lower end tasks, if it was only 2500t with the same armament / sensors, i think it would be more acceptable to some, but being a large ship it could have a greater weapons fit, If i remember correctly wasn't the RFI ...

Re: Queen Elizabeth Class Aircraft Carriers - News and Discussion
Maybe a wildcat would be better suited as a dedicated plane guard.....would also be better to have the Merlin HM2's doing their ASW role ?
Or is it a Merlin an HC4 ? is there not a flight for pilot rescue from behind enemy lines if an aircraft goes down ...or have i got my wires crossed ...

Such good & unexpected news that the T45 are getting CAMM !!! so presumably the T45 replacement will get at least the same or hopefully more than 72 missiles ?

Wow !! looks good but didn't realise it was going to be that big, i was thinking Cavour size or a we bit larger
Lots less deck parking than the QEC with less flight deck Sponsons, will be interesting to see the specs like the hanger size etc
Looks like VLS behind the rear island ?

Re: Project Crowsnest (RN)
Well if the QEC are getting small cats n traps then a fixed wing unmanned aew should be on the cards mid to late 2020's, which could be a better solution than rotary,
But if needed they could always use the merlin Crowsnest on frigates etc
