Re: Future UK Combat Aircraft (Project Tempest)
As far as I know there is no plan ATM for a replacement of the LHD JUAN Carlos, especially because they would like the fixed wing composition to field on it, the AV-8b+ will still hold up for a few years but not much more. There is no intention to buy he F-35B (that would require a refit of the LHD ...

Howabout the last few... being super-light? - is that a decision, or still just an idea (to make the budget 'streeetch')? 4 are already in construction (2 light, 1 light+ and 1 full) and the contracts for the other 3 are already signed (2 Light+ and 1 full) the other 3 are just an option (1 Light, ...

Re: Italian Armed Forces
We still miss at lest two LPD to take the place of the San Giorgio class IMHO, while Type 212 are great subs, Italy should get something larger. Also, SYLVER with MdCN would be a nice thing to have... There is no need to go for something bigger, because bigger subs like the Type 218 it’s bigger but...

i don’t complain about how the RN calles their ship. We shouldn’t be all the time politically correct Agincourt is a go, after a long break, when the previous one was scrapped in 1974 and HMS Agincourt (S125), an Astute-class submarine under construction is due to commission in 2024. HMS Aboukir (B...

I’m pro the name Spartaco Schergat, because is an Italian War Hero and as such he must be remembered. Obviously it’s not as good as the raid on Taranto! Re: Italian Armed Forces
A question, would M-345 be so much cheaper than M-346 so that Italian Air Force will have two pretty similar aircrafts in service? I think yes. I think these two is NOT pretty similar. M-345 is designed to be as cheap as a turbo flop trainer (not sure if it was successful). The original S211 was de...
