All we ever hear about is MOD gold plateing, endless lists of requirments etc, etc. We are told thats why everything takes so long. Just read over on Defence Journal the army are looking to sell the CT40 cannons that are left now Warrior has been canned. They quote Janes saying theres no plans for an IFV Boxer.

So they are swapping an IFV for a wheeled APC with no real armament to speak of. Cosmic.

Also army is looking to stand up and deploy one battalion next year to Africa, maybe Somalia or Mozambique

Interestingly, The Times is reporting the creation of a Ranger type regiment in the IR. 4 battalions of 250 soldiers in a Brigade. Recruiting from across the army.

I just can't see how at every review the armed forces get smaller and people except it. Force levels that were deemed minimums in the past get thrown by the wayside.
