Re: Martlet/Lightweight multirole missile
Maybe maybe not...I was just thinking that are 3 small darts more effective than one missile with a 3 to 4kg warhead....or is it all bullshit and in reality any kind of CIWS is a waste of time.

Re: Ajax Armoured Vehicles (British Army)
It is all F embarrassing. We should never have gone with Ajax....we lost the plot in the late 90s early 2000s when we decided to lose the ability to properly design a new and modern AFV from scratch. Its not rocket science for F sake.

Re: Martlet/Lightweight multirole missile
To me an improved Starburst with some modifications would make a good inner layer defense missile for ships - or even an improved LMM with a larger warhead and a slightly more powerful rocket motor.

Re: Red Arrows: UK firm to win deal to replace ageing jets
South Wales mentioned as a place of production. I assume it could be the former RAF St. Athan air station. Now home to Aston Martin and a lovely aircraft museum,.

Shame that at the same time they are not adding the permanent hangar and making all the changes to suit the LRG role!!!

Re: Multi Role Vehicle – Protected - MRV(P)
Something is very wrong with the MOD, if I was more cynical I would say that it's all down to how long the project can be stretched out while at the same time lining the pockets of civil servants and MPs!!!! Just a thought though!

This is good news, I assume the Type 45s will need to be fitted with the same datalinks that's been installed on the Type 23s??

Re: Type 23 Frigate (Duke Class) (RN) [News Only]
Hello All New to the Forum but been an avid follower of UK Defence for a couple of years now. So looking forward to contributing to the debates. I just have a quick query regarding CSG21 and the Type 23 frigates being deployed. If I am correct the ships will be hosting Lynx Wildcat! I assumed that a...
