Re: The war in Ukraine

On the munitions side of things, I am quite surprised about the bridge on the lower Dnjepr is still standing (assuming that the news about the loss of it are accurate). - a couple of Toschkas (one might miss, and one arch could be prepared) should do the job If Ukraine has the capability to have a ...

The Telegraph pages have this "In response to Mr Kwarteng’s rejection of Russian demands, he [the CEO of Roscosmos] wrote: “OK. I give you two days to think. There will be no guarantees of non-military use of the system - [then] there will be no system.” The OneWeb satellites, worth around $40...

Absolutely - the short term approach of the Mod and treasury is truly shocking. A few of the sentinels over Poland are worth their weight in gold right now!

Re: The war in Ukraine

It is a real shame that Ukraine lacks the current resources to do a fighter jet low level sweep of the convoy that is heading towards the capital. Brimstone would had a field day for sure. The anti-tank weapons are doing a fantastic job as are the Manpads. Russian Su-34s are having to fly at tree to...

Leave Ukraine, including Crimea, Donetsk and Luhansk?
Honestly - I think that will be it. They will have to leave everything - well the negotiations will start from that position.

Re: Ukrainian Forces

Given the range and depth of sanctions now on Russia and those coming - it is questionable how much of the terrority it has managed to occupy it will be allowed to hold onto in return for the removal of sanctions. The sanctions on the Central Bank, and Swift will hurt a lot and the Russians would wa...

German Armed Forces are about to be flooded with cash....they will now hit 2% in 2024 (not aim for it...) and 100bn EUR (yes billion...) is being proposed as a strategic security fund. I agree with the analysis...F-35 for the nuclear mission is now nailed on, suspect Typhoon ECR is as well... https...

For every 1 article the Express publishes saying Brexit is a disaster - there is 1 article saying it is fantastic and we are sticking it to the EU and the future is wonderful... sometimes on the same day on the same home page. Queensland or Victoria which needs more pork? The Germans are just not impressing me with their reliability, lately. I wouldn't want to have to rely on them for spares in any conflict with China. I completely agree with this - once this Ukraine situation is over (either way) we really need to reass...

Not sure if these match the Rafale, but will worry the Indian SYU-30MKIs. Problem is Pakistan will always lose in the number game, though India is not doing itself any favours by its fragmented replacement programme with many MiG 21 Bison still in service. Pakistan with its purchase of the JF-17 to...

Re: Future UK Combat Aircraft (Project Tempest)

https://twitter.com/atla_kouhou_en/status/1493496623439118336 This is why I firmly believe that the Tempest will be a better platform than the FCAS of the EU. The ability of the UK and the British to make good partnerships that benefit all - rather than the EU approach of wanting to have it all and...
