Re: Queen Elizabeth Class Aircraft Carriers - News and Discussion

This bring us to the 30ish F35 between the three platforms, You're only buying 30 F-35B overall so that's a garbage line of reasoning. You're not likely to get much beyond 18 operational at any time, personally I think that's a fair guess. Not accepting that reality makes it obvious there's not muc...

Re: Queen Elizabeth Class Aircraft Carriers - News and Discussion

Taking this in consideration the F-35 operable from the Cavour should be between 10-12 and obviously less than 24 . Which isn't a bad capability, but i'd sooner have 2 QEC than 3 Cavour. This reminds me of an article Spazsinbad posted back in 2013 on f-16.net An Italian Rear Admiral stated that Cav...

Re: Italian Armed Forces

We are going to enter their waters, as asked by the ONU recognized government, if Haftar attacks it would be playing in our favor, it would mean that his supporters (France/Russia/Egypt) cant internationally support him anymore since they would be openly opposing the ONU government. So from a certai...

Re: Italian Armed Forces

Just curious do you also have NGOs in the UK that completely disdein goverment rules and sovereignty? Well, it's the Government's fault, because they don't have the guts to enforce the laws and shut down such "NGOs"... So, if your navy can't even stop the migrants in rubber dhingies, why ...

Re: French Armed Forces

For that reason they got the independence of their Sales and R&D. Plus remember we cant build ships of their tonnage, that would mean that you can move production from Italy to France but not vice versa, they are in competition with Meyer and their Finnish shipyards that also reach the 200k tons...
