AR15 is anything but Ally. Personally I would go with a 6.8 mm Tavour on SCAR.

Re: River Class (OPV) (RN)

I would propose all B2's be modified (at little expense) to be able to accommodate a modular armament upgrade. This would involve a side sponson on each side of the bridge, fitting points for a telescopic retractable hangar, and also upgrade the existing AS/SS radar, and fit an additional 3 WMC to t...

Re: Echo Class Hydrographic Survey Ships (RN)

Thats why Scott is being retained. Echo class are less useful in deeper waters and some of the capability can be replaced by USV's.

No crew and the need to crew Scott for deep sea operations make it inevitable.

Re: The war in Ukraine

Why delay. He broke the rules of war. Either his defence is that he was within his explicit RoE or he acted unilaterally to commit murder. Either way it is a clear breach of international law, and as such, why wait. It might act as a deterrent for for other troops behaving in that way.

If you can see it you can hit it. Top attack MPAW just need to overfly, with that bloody umbrella sticking up it makes for a very nice target. If you are that exposed and needs RWS then your infantry screen is not doing it's job.

Re: Section Infantry Weapons

We used the 2T missile, I think the last Bk was manufactured in 2004. The motor had a shelf life of 4yr in environmental storage without safety/servicing at depot level so I would imagine all of our units would be life expired and disposed of. Definitely not one of ours though, no MIRA unit.

Re: Section Infantry Weapons

Not sure you are right. The 416 seems to have ejector port jams, excessive recoil, and cant hit a damn thing past 200m. So much so, the crew in Hereford now use Long barrel C6's or use or the sniper spotter weapon when in the desert or where range is a factor.

What's wrong with using it as a pillow. Milan was very comfy when you unboxed it and wrapped a cam net around it. Never tried licking one though🤔

Re: The war in Ukraine

The warhead explodes within the tail section. If you put through slow image analysis you can see the impact points x2 prior to the explosion. Either it was a simultaneous impact of 2 identical MANPADS or it was Starstreak. If it the latter, then it is every bit as terrifying as it's reputation would...

Depends on the focal point of the charge and angle of the liner cone. The wider the warhead diameter, the further the standoff usually.

I will have to take my word back; as in "the script for this Winter War" will not run as for the previous one. In the first 3 days 800 AFVs... so the number will (regardless of the final outcome) well exceed the 2400 or so that it took to take out in 105 days. ... keep up the good work! A...

Re: Wave Class Tanker (RFA)

TBH I think we have enough tankers with Tide class and we need the money for FSS program. If they are kept in reasonable order they could be re-activated in a hurry and the RFA have a real man-power crisis at the moment especially in engineers.
