... and a fully mechanised and rapidly deployable 1st Division regardless of what any other nation is doing. 1st Division will never be fully mechanised in the way people expect. It will use protected mobility, just like current 7th Brigade. I think this video is worth a watch as it was the last ti...

Re: The future form of the Army
How would that change if planned CH3 numbers increased to 227 and Warrior was upgraded or replaced? It is pointless to have more tanks if there is no units to operate them. It is planned to have 4 regiments equipped with Ajax and 2 with CR3. How could you balance this, if you want more tank units b...

Re: The future form of the Army
Just couple of things. Seems like 6th Division HQ will be disbanded. It is still questionable will 4th Brigade get regular artillery regiment or will it stuck with reserve just as for the logistic elements. Also "light-mechanised" would mean equipping it with whatever came from MRV-P proje...

Re: Foxhound Protected Vehicle
Could Foxhound, with crew of 2+4, even satisfies MRV-P requirements?

I know that there is a concept of 6x6 version which should be able to carry 6 dismounts, but I don't think that single prototype is made.

... plus 1 x cavalry , 1 x Armoured ... Reserve unit ... units plus 1 x Cavalry ... Reserve units Again, there is no reserve armoured or cavalry units in the way you are presenting it. RWY will not have enough tanks to work as a formed unit nor it is intended to work as a fully formed unit. Just li...

Potentially. Seems like current plan is just for production of spare parts for L119 in Ukraine, with possibility for production of new guns, but this is left to be decided later.

As the Abrams start to arrive surely the need to send more CH2 is drastically reduced? Ukrainians themself asked for delay in delivery of Abrams and extension of training for crews in Germany. First Leo 1s are sent and the rest is slowly to follow but again there is a problem with training crews as...

So I have seen the video it looks bad but do we know that it was destroyed or was it just put out of action could it be dragged back worked on and sent out again Even if salvageable it would require partial or complete refurbishment. So it would not be back very soon if at all. Hopefully we can bac...

Re: RBSL Challenger 3 (Future) Main Battle Tank (British Army)
Given the relatively modest costs involved a bump up to more than 200x CH3 must be a clear priority now. Yea .... that won't happen. Even after review of the FS, number of tanks to be upgraded will not be increased and will stay just 148 tanks. There is very little chance, if not at all, that this ...

Quick question(s) if I may - something I've been thinking over, but its got to the point where I actually need to know now ! I understand that Ares is designated as an APC and Warrior an IFV. Firstly what is the largest caliber RWS that could operate on an Ares in theory ? And secondly with that ca...

Well they are intending to put it on the truck and offer it to the German Army. First prototypes for testing are expected in 2025 if contract is signed. But Germany is also showing interest in buying Euro-PULS as a replacement for MARS II.

Re: The future form of the Army
Well as said something has to give and both the Armoured Brigades as it stands don't have organic Artillery and at a push it could have a Reserve 155m regt Well of course they do not, as FS is placing both 155mm regiments into DRS. And it is one of the puzzling think that no one so far properly exp...
