I am far from an expert but the manner of engagement often took by us Brits :) in the Cromwell would seem to suggest frontal attack was a bad idea to pointless. This seems to crop up quite often with this circular argument that it could or couldn't and I am never sure on the exact stats and criteria...

Just out of curiosity when did the 'fire on the move' mantra end with WWII tanks as presume the 6 pounder/QF 75mm was far too big for what had been a balanced manual mechanism on smaller guns. Was the Cromwell any good at firing on the move or was it just out manoeuvre, flank, stop and fire, scoot? ...
