Re: MBDA Storm Shadow Missile (RAF)

The reaction of the quick delivery and uses has shock the Russians so much they have been shooting down their own aircraft today :wtf: I don't think I've seen such a reaction to any other weapon like the Storm Shadow in the last few days, it really does seem to have stirred things up. Storm Shadow ...

Re: The war in Ukraine

I'm willing to bet good money the counteroffensive starts in May.

Call it spiritual juju, but against Russia, June summer offenses have bad luck.

also, any amount of long range weaponry has a positive passive effect on the Russian war machine. It's like the air version of fleet in being.

2022 was a great year for the West geopolitically and a terrible year for China/Russia.

2023 is going to be a bit of a comeback.

Drone ships make all the sense in the world.

Perhaps one day we could get a fully automated drone ship with fully automated drones.

Pain in the Middle East is the price of focusing on the Pacific. It's not pleasant, but it's necessary and affordable.

The key thing now is to decarbonize the energy grid asap.

Re: The war in Ukraine

I have seen a few videos of the 300 version being used (it looks very effective) but can't recall any footage at all of the 600 model. Is that definitely in use already or just scheduled to be delivered? https://www.reddit.com/r/CombatFootage/comments/11mvv52/russian_s300vm_and_torm2_air_defense_sy...

Switchblade 300 and 600 are very good apparently.

300 showing up after being written off last year. New production block and explosive content.

Re: Brexit - The UK's EU Referendum & Withdrawal

So put it up for another vote, perhaps the people will vote differently after seeing the results. That's seems democratic to me. If Brexit wins again, then yeah. Move on. I'm sure everyone who whines about the military budget will ignore the effect of their Brexit vote/opinion on the cash shortage. ...

Re: Section Infantry Weapons

That prompts an interesting question, if you put the M157 optic on legacy rifles how much of an advantage does the M7 still have? Yes it's going to be a wide margin over a short barreled 556, but what about 762 (or 6.5 CM)? Would it still be worth investing in a new platform? It's sort of Symantics...

Re: Brexit - The UK's EU Referendum & Withdrawal

Why not undo it. You have had this explained to you before, but: Why not? Because I do not believe that political (and economic) union within the EU can produce governance that is representative of, and accountable to, the british electorate. i.e. It will not be legitimate governance. Well, as long...

Re: Section Infantry Weapons

It depends on how game changing the optic is. If it really is gang buster aim bot, then a battle-rifle like the m5 and 6.8 ammo might be better.

The machine gun is good period.

Re: Apache Attack Helicopter (British Army Air Corps)

The idea of a Helicopter being a sensor and weapons platform is obsolete compared to cheap recon drones in combination with artillery/mlrs/missiles and loitering drones. Cut the Attack helo, spend that money on drones. Ukraine's war has proven a 2000$ Mavic drone with artillery can be just as deadly...

Do any of the Chinese ships actually work or have actual weapons on them that work? Don't mistake Russia for China.
