Re: Puma Helicopter (RAF)

I admit I haven't looked into this, but I can't imagine whatever replaces the Blackhawk (whether it be the Sikorsky or the Bell) hasn't got a large quantity of composites.

Other than the NRCH, what have they done to make it a mark 2?

Re: USA Armed Forces

Be interesting to see if they can build as many as they need. Or if it will turn into another B-2

If we do jump on the Sig 6.8 bandwagon, then surely this is the more obvious choice...

If the MoD's excuse was cost of integration (can't remember if it was or not), then that doesn't hold water anymore surely... Brimstone for the win

Re: F-35B Lightning (RAF & RN)

I don't get why this is such a big thing, it's not like it's a chipset or something, so as long as the material is to standard (and can be sourced from other places when the prices are right)...

Plus it was OK to build the SR-71 out of Russian titanium at the height of the cold War!?!

If a B-21 suggestion is supposed to be a stop gap till the new subs arrive, I would suggest the B-1 instead. They'd be available way sooner than the B-21's

Re: M270 Guided Multiple Launch Rocket System (GMLRS)

I cannot see why we would need to obtain replacements from Norway, unless we now plan to upgrade more. My take on it (and obviously I could be wrong), was Norway wanted to donate, but their units aren't in good enough working order. So a quick deal with us and Robert is your mother's brother :thumb...
