Seem to remember reading that QE will meet up with some in the north sea late may or june for pilot carrier training, but could be wrong. interesting listening...https://www.royalnavy.mod.uk/news-and-l ... -interviewJdam wrote:The testing seems to have paid off, do we know if any F-35 will be seen during this deployment?
She'll be close in enough for boat transfers so seaward side of the breakwater is the most likely anchor point for her.dmereifield wrote:Any details? When will she be in sight of the breakwater, if at all?
Indeed, ship still afloat and all crew safe and well. Cannot believe this footage made its way to a public site but heyho, my lad was not on duty so he was happy not to have to do any mopping up!RAF>FAN wrote:https://www.portsmouth.co.uk/news/defen ... 855728?amp

Pretty sure that a warship should not leak water like that.PhillyJ wrote:Indeed, ship still afloat and all crew safe and well. No idea to be honest as never served. It seems a load of 'Old Salts' claim that they are common place on RN ships both old and new and have been since Nelson joined up as a yongster. Apparently Noah was the only person able to build something that didn't leak, but not sure what pressure he was using internally for his water pipes to hydrate his passengers.abc123 wrote:Pretty sure that a warship should not leak water like that.PhillyJ wrote:Indeed, ship still afloat and all crew safe and well. Sincerely, I also never served in navy ( light infantry ), so I don't know a lot too. Especially about this incident. But, if the water passes trough bulkheads ( because of the rain ), I can't see that as good thing.PhillyJ wrote:No idea to be honest as never served. Both very quickly apparently, and as it was the Wrens mess not seen as a huge problem (I think my Lad was joking and would never dare say that in front of one!)Clive F wrote:More to the point how quickly was it detected and the problem sorted. But that doesn't make the news
