Does seem a bit OTT but I guess Officers are expected to be squeaky clean, perhaps there is more to this that might come out later.

Just imagine if this was the way our MP's were dealt with, didn't we have one voting in parliament recently wearing an electronic tag after being jailed for perverting the court of justice? Hang on, now there's an idea on how to sort out our MP's! :eh:

Spent three years with a personally allocated MT Car. Absolutely zero personal use allowed and they are all tracked by GPS. CSs combed the paperwork for inaccuracies.

I don't know the guy, and have no bone in the fight, but it smacks to me of he thought he was above the rules. As I've seen many others do....
Seems to depend on the unit, some turn MTs turn a blind eye but others bust people for taking the piss, going shopping in them etc.

It seems he thought it was OK as he paid for the petrol. In my time in the RN it was normal for many senior officers to
misuse staff cars.

NPC well respected in the mob but he royally f**ked up. There's a lot more to this story that the media are not aware of. He would have been better off if he crashed the ship! He would have stood a better chance of getting promoted!

The cat face I used came from Grumpy Cat. Sadly, Grumpy Cat has died aged 7 years old.

Not exactly an option to maintain deep bench of command officers with CV experience given 2 hulls.

According to the Daily Mail Captain Nick is to command the QE on her return to Pompey, even though he has been publicly humiliated. And again that voyage starts today?

HMS QE's twiter feed has a short video of them filling the dry dock back up with water, but no official leave date/time. https://twitter.com/HMSQNLZ/status/1130767588269670400

Surprised there haven't been any overhead shots of the 2 carriers together to be honest with both of them floating.

I think it's the front Island that does it. If you hold your thumb over it on the pictures she looks longer.

That does work to an extent, but the thing that really messes with your mind (and its the same with the T45) is the size of the bridge windows and Flyco. They really do have enormous amounts of glazing compared to other vessels, it completely throws your eye off as a result.
