QNLZ and POW both have US SCIF compartments. I think as a prerequisite to them embarking USMC F-35 squadrons.

Nippers leaving gift from his DeptCo and other Senior Ratings. It can go alongside the one he purchased way back in 2019, though that bottle is probably empty.

A short piece from Janes regarding the upgrades which have taken on the on the Prince of Wales.
"A 3 April letter to the chair of the UK House of Commons Defence Committee and former Minister of State for Defence Procurement, Alex Chalk MP, reported that the planned capability enhancements included upgrades to the carrier's flight deck to allow expanded Lockheed Martin F-35B Lightning II operations, updates to communications and information systems, and upgrades to the carrier's combat management system (CMS) architecture."

Re: Queen Elizabeth Class Aircraft Carriers - News and Discussion
They were removed when POW went into maintenance. I expect they will be refitted at some point.
Re: Queen Elizabeth Class Aircraft Carriers - News and Discussion
Indeed, which as nipper was lead Phalanx operator on ship at the time, meant he had to retrain as a firefighter once they were gone.
Re: Queen Elizabeth Class Aircraft Carriers - News and Discussion
Some pics that nipper has put up on FB of his time on PWLS.

Re: Queen Elizabeth Class Aircraft Carriers - News and Discussion
That's a Great Photo. For those who have not seen a QE Class Carrier yet, just look at the Three storey building next to QE in the foreground, it really gives a sense of scale, as the size of the ships is masked by their good proportions.
