The testing seems to have paid off, do we know if any F-35 will be seen during this deployment?

Any details? When will she be in sight of the breakwater, if at all?

"HMS Queen Elizabeth@HMSQNLZ

May 15
First stage of training complete. Next time we see Portsmouth this close will be to take on stores to support @OC617Sqn. Then comes the first embarkation of our operational #F35 squadron"

At least its CO will recognize an aircraft carrier and will wear the correct shade of blue. Sure hope "Jack" gets his next promotion :D

She'll be close in enough for boat transfers so seaward side of the breakwater is the most likely anchor point for her.

Indeed, ship still afloat and all crew safe and well. Cannot believe this footage made its way to a public site but heyho, my lad was not on duty so he was happy not to have to do any mopping up!

Pretty sure that a warship should not leak water like that.
Fortune favors brave sir, said Carrot cheerfully.
What's her position about heavily armed, well prepared and overmanned armies?
Oh, noone's ever heard of Fortune favoring them, sir.
According to General Tacticus, it's because they favor themselves…

No idea to be honest as never served. It seems a load of 'Old Salts' claim that they are common place on RN ships both old and new and have been since Nelson joined up as a yongster. Apparently Noah was the only person able to build something that didn't leak, but not sure what pressure he was using internally for his water pipes to hydrate his passengers. :lolno:

Sincerely, I also never served in navy ( light infantry ), so I don't know a lot too. Especially about this incident. But, if the water passes trough bulkheads ( because of the rain ), I can't see that as good thing.

Pipes leak!! The UK seems very good at washing it's dirty laundry in public and navel gazing. Most other nations don't tend to do this- we like to make ourselves look bad to prove a political point. Looking at allies issues then QEC have been a roaring success: CdG, GRF, LCS, F125, Navantia FF, Adelaide, etc. Of course ships leak, internal HP mains will fail, it is impossible to expect that you have 100% QC in a ship with over 6000 compartments and 1Bn components.

More to the point how quickly was it detected and the problem sorted. But that doesn't make the news

Both very quickly apparently, and as it was the Wrens mess not seen as a huge problem (I think my Lad was joking and would never dare say that in front of one!)
