-the copper price is no longer the way to finance the chilean armed forces, it has been replace with a minimum budget inspected every 4 years sufficient to operate the chilean armed forces.

by the year 2023 the Chilean navy wants to build new anphibious vessels to replace the older Batral class LST and the AP ''Aquiles''.
