According to the author the thing can run on water! Awesome, the world is saved.

I don't see why they would desire to use hydrogen, its an awful thing to handle.

Best done in those almost-out-of-the-athmosphere orbiters... where no humans are present
Ever-lasting truths: Multi-year budgets/ planning by necessity have to address the painful questions; more often than not the Either-Or prevails over Both-And.

(This isn't really news as nothing confirmed by the U.K. MOD. and besides, how long ago was DVD 2016?
Well, it is quite desperately needed. DROPS is technically out of service since December 2014, teary goodbye facebook posts from the RLC included... but it is actually still in use because, simply, the replacement never arrived. High time they started thinking about the issue. The requirement used to be far higher than 400 trucks, too, so it really would be a start, not a finish.

I hope and believe that the 400 would be additional to the EPLS already in use.

The Land Rover has been a vital part of the force since it first came into service in 1949.

Simple, dependable and a workhorse of the British military, it's a vehicle that still has a key role to play after all these years.
