So a bit like with the Harrier's in the Falklands war? It has been suggested before that even a Nimitz would have struggled to get aircraft up into the fight...

Not sure to be honest. This is the only timeline I can remember seeing but it is from 2017 and out of date, the commisioning of PWSL will be early December this year.

When will the trials of F35s on the Prince of Wales start, will she undergo two sets of trials as the Queen Elizabeth has and, if so, will both sets of trials happen in the US?
The last thing i read said DT-4, with Prince of Wales, would happen in 2021. Which would make it a busy and interesting carrier year, if confirmed.

Would that be a couple of months before HMS QE sails on her first deployment to get the pilots used to carrier takeoffs etc?

HMS Queen Elizabeth has left Mayport, currently off Jacksonville in company with HMS Dragon.
If there are a couple of days with no twitter posts from them expect the Lightnings to be aboard...

Looks like a new speed record from PoW. 28.2 knots.
Like QE I think this is the fastest, or near fastest, that we'll see on AIS, any faster and they'll turn it off.
In other news RFA Tideforce is still alongside in Mayport. No idea where Northumberland is.

Two planes ID's are BK-04 ZM138 (17 Squadron) and BK-15 ZM149 (617/207 Squadron).
Seems from photos that BK-04 was first ever British owned F-35B to land on QE.

First British F-35B land onboard HMS Queen Elizabeth
Pictures released by the MOD show UK F-35 Lightning jets landing, taking off and hovering onboard Britain’s next generation aircraft carrier, HMS Queen Elizabeth for the first time.
Flown by Royal Navy and Royal Air Force pilots, the Lightning jets are embarking in the 65,000 tonne carrier to conduct operational trials off the East Coast of the USA.
This follows successful developmental trials last year with US Lightning jets, where forces conducted 500 take offs and landings over their 11-week period at sea.
These trials are aimed at ‘end-to-end’ testing of the aircraft and personnel to ensure the aircraft are compatible with the carrier. The tests involve mission planning, arming the aircraft using the ship’s Highly Automated Weapon Handling System, flying missions and debriefing on completion.

I can confirm the AIS is often turned off and on, my nipper has done it several times on his watch over the past few weeks, unfortunately I cannot confirm anything else!

First: BK-04 (ZM138). Second: BK-15 (ZM149).
