Is that the 3rd Phalanx position under the Tarp, or is it the one further outboard and slightly aft? Is the 3rd mount about to make an early appearance?

Could it be the 30mm mount?

slightly out the loop on news with the carriers (real life issues keep me busy sadly) but was it revealed what caused the flooding that sent the QE back to Pompy early?

Burst seawater pipe. But no further news on damage, if the repairs have been carried out. Presumably all sorted now.

QE's horn was heard across Portsmouth and Gosport for about 10 seconds earlier this morning.

That would suggest her main props are fitted rather than brake props?

Her props were fitted in the building dock before she was floated. There is a programme called Mega Shippers and one episode had a part about POW being moved out of the dock. There is a scene where it shows the gock being flooded and the props are clearly visible if only fleetingly.

Any news on F35 numbers to be taken?
Will they fly into Portsmouth today, or are they more likely to join QE out at see, and with a little more privacy, maybe a day or two after departing?

Seven F-35B's were mentioned for Westlant 19 when Jerry Kyd was CO during Westlant 18.

There's no way F-35B's will be landing in Portsmouth Harbour. It'll be out at sea like Harriers did with the Invincible's.

Didn't Harriers used to land on Carriers while in Harbour? Certainly they did when the air wings were landed on in Portsmouth for the Falklands, on both Hermes and Invincible, or was that a one off as a show of force for Departure?

It is rare, usually it's more to do with the noise than anything else.
Saying that they landed Apache on HMS Ocean while she was alongside in Devonport a couple of times.
