Still moored at Plymouth Breakwater according to both MarineTraffic and VesselFinder ?! :eh:

QE supposedly has a 10,000 mile range, thats if she's fully fuelled. Interestingly, a Portsmouth to NYC voyage and back again is 7,000 miles.
That is odd, I assumed she was travelling with QE and Monmouth, so its either off or she will head over later.

Pretty impressive. I take it thats at Cruising speed?

It's worth noting that there will be plenty of opportunities for QE to moor alongside US CVN's in Norfolk and meet up in the Atlantic.

Currently the Abraham Lincoln is out in the Atlantic on Carrier Qualifications and is due to meet up with the another CVN shortly (can't remember which one).

In addition the following are in Norfolk (including Newport News)

Dwight D. Eisenhower
George Washington
Harry S. Truman
George H.W. Bush
Gerald R. Ford (at Newport)

In addition the Wasp Class Kearsage and Bataan are in the area or nearby.

They are much bigger, but not significantly visually. Its not going to be as different as when the last 2 Arks were alongside USN CVN's.
But being docked at Norfolk will be an interesting contrast as thats a 'real' carrier port. The scale of it is incredible.

IIRC QE is likely to go to Mayport, Florida as well. Not sure if USN carriers still visit there. They certainly don't base one there as they don't have facilities to support nucs.

Pity HMS QE does not have an angled flight deck with a Red and White Centreline and Broken White Block edges like Ark Royal IV though.

Well it's no escort fleet but at least that's some defence for the ship.

Another first, and one assumes the escort is around. Eager to hear of the first F35B deck landing and hope that goes well.

You are correct. USNI said Bush was underway on the 27th. It appears it came back in to port for the US 2nd Fleet ceremony, and Truman went out the day after.
