I actually laughed out loud at this. HMS Queen Elizabeth wrecking somebody on Twitter.
Re: Queen Elizabeth Class Aircraft Carriers - News and Discussion
If it is, this one is taking a while to die... That guy is now arguing with the QE account that all the steel used came from Belgium not the UK
Re: Queen Elizabeth Class Aircraft Carriers - News and Discussion
Belgium? No....
In 2008, Corus recieved an order for 80,000 tons of steel for the use in construction of the QEC ships.
1999: Corus is a merger of British Steel (UK) and Koninklijke Hoogovens (Netherlands).
2007: Corus was bought by Tata (India).
2008: The 80,000 ton QEC steel order was placed.
2010: Corus's name was changed to Tata Steel Europe.
So the steel is technically Indian. Although, Tata Steel Europe is headquartered in London. Which makes it British.

Re: Queen Elizabeth Class Aircraft Carriers - News and Discussion
Anybody else getting deja vue with having Cockneyjock back on the case capturing the blocks as they arrive from across the water ?
Great photos again CJ makes the build feel right
Nice to see LB04 arrive, be interesting to see how long it takes from arrival to being floated off and then joined to the front half of PW, with the revised build and assembly schedule i get the feeling we may see the 2nd carrier virtually structurally complete when QE starts her sea trials

Nice job, CJ. Great to have more images of the big day.
You might also know me as Liger30, from that great forum than MP.net was.

The follow-up conversation was just as stupid. Why was that guy trying to troll the @HMSQNLZ account. Chump. The Armchair Soldier wrote:

Nice. I can't wait until I can send in some of QNLZ when she arrives in Portsmouth...cockneyjock1974 wrote:Here you go folks.. link to hosting site for pic expansion as well.......
Re: Queen Elizabeth Class Aircraft Carriers - News and Discussion
I would imagine the whole east coast of the UK will get to see the QE before she arrives in Portsmouth, that is if QE is near enough to land for photos.
