So at 1:1250 scale, a titchy little 22.4cm (8.8 inches) long Corgi toy. And being made from die-cast metal, it'll probably sink in your bathtub.

But found some nice QE drawings at that link, they might come in handy for an improved assembly diagram if we build a third carrier someday.

This one is much bigger than 8 inches and it's for a very worthy cause.

Still waiting on Airfix, how long would a 1/350 model be?

At 1/350 scale, it would be 80 cm, or 2 feet 6 inches long.

I think 1/1250 is pretty standard for diecast.

If you want a Rolls Royce diecast model you need to go here but they don't have a QNLZ model.

Looks like Airfix is thinking about it:

You'll be reverting to feet and inches after Brexit, right?

No, the QEC drawings and measurements are Metric. Staying that way will minimise costs (and errors)!

Just waiting for the 1/350 Airfix, Trumpeter or whatever kit for a QEC Carrier to form the centrepiece of my CSG on the under shelf of a glass topped (and glass sided) coffee table. I already have the 2 x T45 and 2 x T23 and both Trafalgar & Astute classes of SSN. In all probability neither Tide class or Fort Victoria/Future SSS will never be available as models on a commercial basis. In any case, the coffee table would then need to be too large!

I have it on very secret confirmation that they cannot do a QE class model, apparently the 2nd of class has larger measurements/displacements (you need to know how much putty to put in the hull when making a model after all) but they are very closely kept to those in the know... :silent: :lolno:
