Re: Warrior Armoured Vehicle Variants (British Army)

I'm sorry Lord Jim, but I think ABSV could to be used like recovery, repair, mortar carrier, ambulance, command post, artillery observation, supply, Javelin carrier, APC. It would save money to buy more Boxers and more smaller vehicles, I think you are short of vehicles that can be quickly deployed ...

Re: Future UK Combat Aircraft (Project Tempest)

If the Franco-German project is not successful we will be under American domination, the monopoly is not good for business, if our American friends are the only ones to manufacture combat aircraft and drones, they will set the price.

Hidden in a wood or under a shed, the Caesar can fire six shots and get out of battery in less than 2 minutes. As it is agile both on the road and off-road, his movements are difficult to predict for the enemy. Equipped with a centralized system of inflation of the wheels to adapt the pressure to th...

Re: French Armed Forces

I think they would also be prefect for urban warfare, being able to get in and out of smaller streets at much greater ease than Ajax and even boxer. The beauty in the Scorpion project is that the French have managed to write in the contract that no single unit can come in at more that €1m or around...

Re: French Armed Forces

France is doing with the Rafale what the UK should be doing more with the Typhoon, having a well laid out programme that will keep the platform up to date and increase its capabilities to meet new threats. There is a lot of talk when it comes to Typhoon, but current improvements are really only add...

Re: French Armed Forces

A question: wasn't the Rafale a wrong step for France? Could the France further develop their Mirage 2000 series ( into 2000-5 and beyond, N, D etc. ) and save money that went into Rafale and save it to produce something of 5th generation? Yes, it would enter service probably 5-10 years after Rafal...

Re: French Armed Forces

36+ Rafale with two EM Catapults. I am suspicious of whether a two carrier purchase is indeed possible. What would be removed to crew such a thing? The French Navy is already reducing numbers/ship sizes to better withstand the reduction from its plan already. For example, the 25% reduction in oiler...

Re: French Armed Forces

Would france go for 2 instead of one ? They should and i think they will in time but staggared build instead of building 2 at same time . The real question of course is, nuclear or not. I suspect not in this budget reality. The option of a second new aircraft carrier is very likely, at least the Mi...
