Re: Future UK Combat Aircraft (Project Tempest)
Think we would all be doing ourselves a favour if we just let them go with FCAS tbh ,suit them better as already have dealings with french fighters ,keep GCAP away from India

Re: Ajax Armoured Vehicles (British Army)
Sounds like total incompetence all round , what a joke the MOD really are,MOD yes we've fixed it we've ordered 580 odd whoopy cushions , bet the army top brass and MOD would be great at writing 70s comedy sketches ,lol what can I say , you've really got to ask yourselfs is it wise giving extra money...

Re: FV4034 Challenger 2 Main Battle Tank (British Army)
Looking at BBC article today saying Ben Wallace would be minded to let Ukraine have more challenger 2 tanks if do well in Ukraine and the need arises ,I agree ,get on with it already , shame we didn't have a tank building capacity anymore and possibly sold them challenger 3 tanks in future, caveatin...

Re: Future UK Combat Aircraft (Project Tempest)
I totally agree that India would be a potentially good client for Tempest, my big issue would be I wouldn't trust them with the technology unfortunately. As a non aligned fence sitter and operating in a seemingly permanent state of chaotic governance ( he said tongue in cheek, with the state of the...

Re: Australian Defence Force
Well I could see it happening in principle as we have given away to help Ukraine quite a lot of our kit lately which I agree with btw ,so government are willing to do it in my view.altho not the same I agree by any stretch ,not saying it will happen but I think government would be willing that's all...

Re: Australian Defence Force
Was just thinking outside the box,as they've already said they will definitely not lend Australia a astute, and we can't build another astute apart from the last 2 we are building, and program will be going straight onto next generation of subs for UK with new PR3 reactors, so can't build another astu...

Just a thought even tho just a crazy notion and I don't know how it would work but could Australia be about to get one of our last few build astute s subs and UK either build another for UK or only having 6 astute and then going straight onto the new UK sub design for the 7 th boat and future possib...

Yes I think it's just, yes we would be willing to build you a sub as say USA would be willing or France would be willing, but in reality we can't actually build you one ,well right now anyway ,and maybe the papers have just jumped on the willing bit as a we are going to build ,that's my take on it any...

Think whatever they give or get to give , wondering if they thinking fixing storm shadow to it ?,mmh maybe old tornado for strike role , but in reality unrealistic again, like people have said we are a totally limited tbh , don't think RAF would want to let them have a squadron of older T1 typhoon,we...

If only...for the kind of money the Aussies are pumping in they'll want local construction.... Of course it is true that the Australians will want local construction but they also want SSNs in the water. The higher the ratio of Australian workshare the longer it will take for Australia to get its S...

Cracking looking carrier, would the RN have liked one of these over a 2 QE class ships ,not sure in heart of hearts what they would choose tbh ,yes 2 better than one and I quess more availability, and nuclear technicians to man and huge scrapping costs etc etc etc , but after saying all that will the...

Re: The war in Ukraine
Reading that maybe a few leopard 1 tanks might be going to Ukraine in different news articles , which don't get me wrong I'm all for sending tanks to Ukraine from west ,but with armed 105mm gum aren't they just going to be outgunned by the t72 125 mm series Russian tanks ? If that's the case why not...

I really do think the structures and mindset of the army top rank and MOD are inherently incapable of bringing the necessary change needed ,think the army top brass are still full of who ray Henry's who haven't got a clue tbh ,the institutions are totally outdated and broken, and that's not just me s...

At what point do we think UK will donate export storm shadow ( 155 mile ) missiles or do we not think UK will donate? I think as time goes on and IF it starts to look dodgy for Ukraine under relentless russian pressure ,the west will shit themselves a bit and I think at that point storm shadow, ATAC...
